The Commodores (28-22, 10-14 SEC) previously had a team home run record of 100 set in 2019, a season Vanderbilt won the national championship.
Five different Commodores − Mancini, Johnston, Holcomb, Tommy Goodin and Colin Barczi − have hit double-digit home runs this season, the most for Vanderbilt since at least 1996.
Vanderbilt entered the May 8 contest at Taylor Stadium fourth in the country in home runs, behind Georgia, Oklahoma State and Mercer.
