The San Antonio Spurs are now up 3-2 against the Minnesota Timberwolves. It has been a challenging series, especially since they lost in Game 4 after Victor Wembanyama's ejection following his elbow to Naz Reid's neck.
Now, he has proven that he could have led the Spurs to a third victory in the previous game. He did that by having one of the standout performances of the series in Game 5 against the Timberwolves.
Wembanyama had an amazing performance in Game 5, as he dominated every part of the game. He had 27 points, 17 rebounds, and five assists. Of course, he was immense on defense as well with his three blocks.

The Frenchman was also much more composed in Game 5. He is usually quite calm, but Game 4 was the outlier, as the physicality he endured reached a boiling point before his elbow.
Wembanyama has since urged everyone to keep it moving after Game 5. He wants more people to focus on the series and let the Spurs themselves keep focusing on the task at hand rather than discussing an elbow.
"It was two games ago, it's the Playoffs. I was focused on the game today, and now I'm focused on the game in two days. It's the Playoffs, we've got to move on. I got to care for my team," Wembanyama said about the elbow that got him ejected in Game 4.
"I feel like the ragebaiting would be one of the strategies. We just had to stay composed as a team."
