According to reports from āAlErsalpodā, Mboko was seen working alongside Iga Swiatekās former coach, Wim Fissette, in Strasbourg as she prepared for her final warm-up event before the French Open.
Itās still unclear whether this is a full-time partnership, a trial period, or just a one-off training session.
If Mboko has indeed secured a long-term arrangement with Fissette, it will be fascinating to see how her game evolves on tour.
Fissette is widely respected in tennis circles and has guided four different players to Grand Slam victories.
He helped Swiatek capture the Wimbledon title last year, though their partnership ended in March after a string of underwhelming results.
Mboko is still chasing her first major title. If she has decided to bring Fissette on board, sheāll be hoping his experience can help her make that breakthrough this year.
Itās worth noting that Roland Garros remains the one major Fissette hasnāt won as a coach. Even Swiatek, despite being one of the top clay-court players of her era, found success hard to come by on clay during their time together.

Mboko pulled out of the Italian Open earlier this month due to illness.
Looking to get more matches under her belt before heading to Roland Garros, she has entered the WTA 500 event in Strasbourg.
Sheāll go in as the top seed in a field that also features Grand Slam winners Emma Raducanu and Madison Keys.
If Fissette is indeed her new coach, fans might see him courtside for her first match against either Lois Boisson or Wang Xinyu in the second round.
So far, Mboko hasnāt picked up a win on clay this season. Her only match on the surface was a loss to Caty McNally in Madrid.
If she can get through that opening test, things are only going to get tougher from there.
Time will tell if she can make a run there and whether Fissette will be alongside her. The tournament kicks off on Monday, May 18th.
