It was announced this afternoon that Liam Rosenior had been sacked by Chelsea, and it hasnāt taken long for Fabrizio Romano to weigh in with some exclusive info.
The transfer guru always likes to sprinkle in a few little nuggets that nobody else has, and thatās just what heās done here.
Reports earlier today were that it was going to cost the Blues Ā£25m or so to sack Rosenior and his staff just a few months into their long contracts. But Romano says that this isnāt the case:
āThere is a special clause in the agreement Rosenior made with Chelsea in January, that will mean Chelsea avoid paying crazy money to the manager. So Chelsea are not going to pay the full salary for the long term contract to. Liam Rosenior. There is a break clause in the contract. So financially for Chelsea, itās not going to be as bad as it would have been without this clause.ā
Good to know weāll only be spending Ā£12m or so on a manager who was here for 100 days thenā¦
