There were high hopes for Chelsea in their first home game under Calum McFarlane. They won against Leeds in the FA Cup a week ago, and there was a bit of positive energy around.
Well, it lasted two minutes. Some truly pathetic, disorganised and uncommitted defending saw Nottingham Forest wander forward, with Dilane Bakwa able to play his cross uncontested and pick out Taiwo Awoniyi in the middle of the six yard box.
Tosin, Trevoh Chalobah and Malo Gusto all looked at each other to question who was supposed to be marking the big striker. In the end none of them did, and it was an easy header past Robert Sanchez. That now makes it 13 Premier League games without a clean sheet for the Blues, who continue their tumble down the table at record speed.
