Vinicius joins Ronaldo and Benzema with incredible Real Madrid milestone
Real Madrid once again leaned on Vinicius Jr. to get the job done, as the Brazilian forward delivered both goals in a 2-0 win over Espanyol.
But apart from the result, the performance marked another major milestone in his growing legacy at the club.
With those two goals, Vinicius has now reached 20 or more goals in five consecutive seasons for Real Madrid.
That level of consistency places him among some of the greatest names to have ever worn the shirt.
As per Mundo Deportivo, he now finds himself in elite company alongside legends such as Alfredo Di Stefano, Ferenc Puskas, Hugo Sanchez, Raul Gonzalez, Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema.
This season alone, Vinicius has scored 21 goals in 50 appearances, and these numbers have come amid severe scrutiny.

For a large part of the campaign, the Brazil international has faced flak from the Santiago Bernabeu crowd itself and yet, he continues to defy all the criticism thrown at him.
Notably, Vinicius’ contributions have been spread across competitions, with 15 goals in La Liga, five in the Champions League, and one in the Spanish Super Cup.
While his most prolific campaign remains the 2023-24 season with 24 goals, there are still three more games left for Real Madrid to play.
Another factor backing his numbers has been the managerial shift at the club. Since Alvaro Arbeloa took charge, Vinicius’ output has seen a noticeable rise.
Under Arbeloa, the Brazilian has scored 15 goals in just 23 matches, a sharp improvement compared to his record under Xabi Alonso, where he managed six goals in 27 matches.
The difference becomes even clearer when looking at his scoring frequency. Under Alonso, Vinicius averaged one goal every 328 minutes, whereas under Arbeloa, that rate has improved to one goal every 131 minutes.
