One real-life couple from Ontario, California went viral when they became legally married during Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl LX halftime performance in February.
Eleisa Aparicio and Thomas Wolter met while working jobs at a hospital in the greater Los Angeles area after both graduating from California State University, Fullerton. Aparicio also earned her master’s degree in nursing from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California.
The two registered nurses decided to send one of their extra wedding invitations to Bad Bunny. They hoped the Puerto Rican artist would respond with a letter or some merchandise but what the couple received instead was one of the most iconic moments in Super Bowl halftime performance history.
The pair were pronounced husband and wife during Bad Bunny’s performance by Project Church South Sacramento pastor Antonio Reyes. Bad Bunny also signed off as the witness of their marriage.

Now two months later, the newlyweds were recognized by a Los Angeles Dodgers affiliate over the weekend. The couple threw out the first pitch before the Ontario Tower Buzzer’s series finale against the Fresno Grizzlies on Sunday.
