On Thursday night, a surprise for the Hokies, as four-star cornerback Chase Johnson revealed he was committing to Virginia Tech. The 5-foot-10, 150-pound Johnson is from Swainsboro, Georgia, and plays at the Emanuel County Institute. Johnson held a reported 30 offers, including ones from Georgia, Auburn, Florida State, Miami, Tennessee and a host of others.
