There were several top performers across the state in girls high school sports, but only one can be voted as the Clarion Ledger athlete of the week for April 6-11.

Alyssa Clifton, Potts Camp: Clifton recorded one home run and three RBIs with nine strikeouts in the circle in Potts Camp's 14-3 win against Hickory Flat.
Kayleigh Douglas, Stringer: Douglas had five home runs and 20 RBIs in Stringer's games against Richton, Raleigh and Pelahatchie.
Bristol Jones, Pass Christian: Jones recorded 26 strikeouts and zero earned runs in two games pitched against Forrest County Agricultural and D'Iberville.
Layla Owens, Itawamba Agricultural: Owens had a home run and eight RBIs while pitching 13 innings and having 23 strikeouts in Itawamba Agricultural's games against Mooreville, Amory and Pontotoc.
Paisley Walls, Oxford: Walls recorded three hits, six RBIs and four strikeouts on the mound in Oxford's games against Madison Central and Pototoc.
