There were several top performers across the state in boys high school sports, but only one can be voted as the Clarion Ledger athlete of the week for May 4-9.

Chase Adcock, Simpson Academy: Adcock recorded a home run and five RBIs in Simpson Academy's 9-7 win against Oak Forest Academy (La.).
Chadwick Brown, Poplarville: Brown produced a home run with seven RBIs and scored five runs in Poplarville's games against Greene County and West Lauderdale.
Easton Giger, Petal: Giger recorded two home runs with five RBIs in Petal's 10-7 win against Brandon.
Brenden Truss, Kosciusko: Truss had three hits and three RBIs in Kosciusko's 17-4 win against Mooreville.
Cayson Witcher, Pontotoc: Witcher produced six hit and three RBIs in Pontotoc's games against Lafayette and Caledonia.
