TOPEKA — The top athletes in Shawnee County continue to impress. Topeka-area athletes are leading their teams to big victories and personal records.
It's now time to vote for the Envista Federal Credit Union's athlete of the week for April 20-25. Voting closes at noon on Friday. Here are the nominees.

It was a massive game for Briggs in Topeka West's 10-0 win against Leavenworth on Tuesday, April 21. She drilled a homer and led the team with four RBIs and two hits. Briggs also pitched a complete game, allowing just two hits, striking out four batters.
The senior scored three goals and an assist in Hayden’s 8-0 win against Junction City on Monday, April 20. She also added two goals in Hayden’s 3-1 win over Trinity Academy on Thursday, April 23. Broxterman has helped Hayden to a 9-0 record, one of two teams left in the state that has won every game so far this year.
The senior finished with three hits, including a three-run homer in the opening inning of Rossville's 13-5 win against Sabetha on Monday, April 20. Mitchell ended with a game-high six RBIs in the win.
The senior put together a strong performance at the Rossville Invitational on Friday, April 24. He won the 100-meter dash with an 11.13. He also won the 110-meter hurdles with a 16.01. Rupp secured second in the 200-meter dash, too.
Warren combined for six hits and nine RBIs with two home runs in Seaman's doubleheader sweep on Tuesday, April 21. Seaman defeated Piper 15-0 and 17-2 in both games. In game two, Warren was a single away from hitting for the cycle. Seaman enters the week with a 10-4 record.
