Claudio Braga believes Hearts are strong title contenders this season.
Brady Wajda was voted Daily News Boys Athlete of the Week for April 12-19, achieving 20.38% of the votes. This week, candidates include Nick Andrade and Jake Cincotta for their outstanding performances.
Hopedale baseball player Brady Wajda was voted the Daily News Boys Athlete of the Week for April 12-19. He was 4-for-5 with five RBIs, two runs and a double in a 15-3 win over Saint Paul.
Wajda received 20.38 percent of the more than 600 votes. He beat out Medway's Charlie Hosmer (10.35 percent) and Ashland's Chris Bratica (9.08).
Now we turn our attention to this week's top performers and the candidates for the Daily News Boys Athlete of the Week Poll for April 20-26:
Nick Andrade, Marlborough volleyball: Hammered home 31 kills in a 3-2 win over East Longmeadow.
Jake Cincotta, Marlborough baseball: Struck out 11 and threw a shutout in a 6-0 win over Clinton, allowing just five hits.
Eben Consigli, Nipmuc track & field: New Hampshire commit won the discus at the Mercury Games, tossing it 166 feet, 11 inches - the No. 2 throw in the state this spring.

Ethan Edmunds, Franklin baseball: Had five RBIs on a 3-for-4 day that included a double and a home run in a 10-6 win over Wachusett. He also threw three innings, allowing three hits and no earned runs with seven strikeouts. Drove in the game-winning run, scored twice and walked three times against North Quincy.
Storm Ellison, Westborough baseball: Struck out 10 over six innings and allowed just one run in an 8-2 win against Acton-Boxborough on Friday. The Saint Anselm commit also was 2-for-3 with three RBIs, including a go-ahead two-run single in the fifth for the Rangers.
Jack Finocchario, Hudson baseball: Threw six innings to earn the win win a 9-2 victory over Marlborough, allowing just three hits with four strikeouts. He also had two hits, two RBIs and two runs for the Hawks

Walter Rogers, Algonquin baseball: Struck out 13 batters and allowed just one earned run over five innings in a 4-1 win over Milford.
Dan Spinale, Hopkinton lacrosse: Stopped 16 shots in a 9-6 win against Wellesley.
Aidyn Sweeney, Nipmuc lacrosse: Turned away 10 shots in a 9-6 win against Holliston.
