Jack Finocchario was named Daily News Boys Athlete of the Week for April 20-26, earning 34.53% of the votes. This week, nominees include Charlie Ballarino and Charlie Barbosa for their outstanding performances.
Hudson's Jack Finocchario was voted the Daily News Boys Athlete of the Week for April 20-26. He threw six innings to earn the win win a 9-2 victory over Marlborough, allowing just three hits with four strikeouts. Finocchario also had two hits, two RBIs and two runs for the Hawks.
The junior received 34.53 percent of the nearly 1,000 votes. He beat out Ashland's Jared Grunbaum (21.72 percent) and Framingham's James Winders (16.5).

Charlie Ballarino, Franklin lacrosse: Had five goals and two assists in a 12-3 win over Stoughton.
Charlie Barbosa, Dover-Sherborn track & field: Won the high jump, clearing 5-foot-10, and led the Raiders to the Division 5 MSTCA State Relays championship.
Finn Bell, Wayland volleyball: Hammered down 23 kills with two blocks in a 3-1 win against Acton-Boxborough. Added 13 kills and four aces against Waltham/Weston.
Joe Bent, Assabet Valley boys lacrosse: Poured in four goals in a 15-3 win over Worcester.

Jason Blake, Hudson track & field: Broke the tape in the mile and the 800 for the Hawks in a victory over Lunenburg.

Henry Fowler, Dover-Sherborn lacrosse: Had four goals and an assist in a 9-2 win against Wayland.
Josh Giancola, Nipmuc baseball: Threw a one-hit shutout with 14 strikeouts over six innings in a 10-0 win against Bay Path. Giancola also singled and scored a run for the Warriors
Aidan Gibbs, Bellingham volleyball: Posted a double-double with 29 assists, 10 digs, 6 kills and 3 aces in a 3-0 win over Nowood.
Michael Harmon, Algonquin tennis: Defeated Sumair Singh 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1 singles to help the Titans take down Marlborough 5-0.
Connor Hume, AMSA lacrosse: Made 10 saves in a tight 9-7 win over Blackstone Valley Tech.
Connor Kelly, Hudson lacrosse: Notched six points with three goals and three assists in a 14-2 win against Worcester. Had seven points in a victory against Tyngsborough with five assists with two goals.
Thurston Kiefer, Natick baseball: Struck out 11 in a complete game win over Braintree, allowing four hits, three runs and a walk.
Quinn Lacasse, Algonquin lacrosse: Had two goals including the overtime winner in an 11-10 victory over Westfield.
Ari Levine, Hopedale track & field: Won both the shot put at 58 feet, 6.75 inches and discus (173-11) at the MSTCA Division 6 relays.

Ellias Lukic, Wellesley boys tennis: Provided the match-sealing point at No. 3 singles against Needham and added a victory against BC High.

Calvin Mahon, Hopkinton baseball: Drove in four runs in a 15-5 win against Medway on Friday and added a double.
Jackson Manosh, Blacktone Valley Tech baseball: Threw a four-hit shutout with 10 strikeouts on just 89 pitches in a 1-0 victory against Hopedale.
Victor Norman, Algonquin track & field: Was first in the javelin and shot put for the Titans agaisnt Grafton.

DJ Silverstein, Franklin baseball: Threw six innings and allowed just two hits and two runs with nine strikeouts in a 16-2 victory against Milford.

Mason Tarantino, Lincoln-Sudbury baseball: Llaunched two homers and scored three runs with six RBIs on a 3-for-4 day in a 17-8 victory against Concord-Carlisle.
