Vote for the Daily News Girls Athlete of the Week for May 4-10

Make some noise for Marlborough softball player Erin Seder, who received 21,600 votes (52.4%) out of a total 41,210 to win last week’s award. Hopkinton softball player Avery Quebec placed second with 16,401 votes.

We compiled another solid list of candidates for Daily News Girls Athlete of the Week. Vote below. The poll will stay open until Sunday, May 17 at 6 p.m.

Maddie Benoit, Tri-County softball

The junior totaled three hits against Southeastern and drove in three and scored four times against Diman. Benoit also had two hits against Bristol-Plymouth.

Marisol Burgos, Marlborough softball

The senior hurled a five-hit shutout, with seven strikeouts, and had a double and two RBIs in a win over Groton-Dunstable.

Phoebe Cuneo, Franklin track & field

The 10th-grader won the 400-meter hurdles, triple jump and long jump against Taunton last Tuesday. She also anchored the winning 4x1 relay. Three days later at the Lou Tozzi Twilight Invitational, Cuneo placed second in the 400 hurdles in a personal-best time of 1:05.59.

Ashley Forrester, Tri-County track & field

The senior won the 400 hurdles and 800 meters as the Cougars won the Mayflower Large) title. She also placed second in the long jump.

Gloria Ge, Hudson tennis

During a 3-0 week, she dropped just eight games. Ge has won eight consecutive matches.

Ava Gill, Tri-County girls lacrosse

The senior set the school record with her 128th career goal, tallying four times against South Shore.

Layla Huntley, Hopedale softball

The junior had two hits vs. Nipmuc and went 3-for-5 with three RBIs and two runs against Northbridge.

Ava Lombardo, Framingham track & field

The senior won the 400 at the Weston Twilight Invitational in a personal best 58.08 seconds. Also ran the second leg on the winning Swedish Relay (100, 200, 300, 400 meters) with Catelyn Last, Daria Lamakina and Sasha Lamakina.
