Softball's regular season concluded this week, and, not surprisingly, we saw some of the best performances of the year. Whether they were fighting for a playoff spot, hoping to move up in the standings, or just finish the season on a high note, these athletes gave it their all.

Dock Mennonite freshman Bella Taylor was the winner with 30 percent of the vote. Taylor has excelled in the circle for the Pioneers.
She pitched a gem against Renaissance Academy, giving up a lone hit while striking out 13 in a complete-game shutout win. In a win over Calvary Christian, Taylor pitched two perfect innings in relief, and drove in two runs at the plate. For the season, she has a 3.73 ERA with 74 strikeouts in 50 innings to help the Pioneers earn the No. 1 seed in the District One Class 1A playoffs.
The poll will run until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19.
