The junior QB/S helped the 4-0 Indians win three games last week by a combined 89-18. Benacquista completed 58 percent of her passes for 425 yards and eight touchdowns, ran for a TD and defended six passes on defense.
The senior RB/LB totaled four touchdowns in a pair of wins for the Mustangs, rushing 14 times for 210 yards in the process. Briguglio added nine catches for 85 yards, and on defense, she tallied 12 flag pulls and three sacks.
In the Comets’ first win of the season (25-0 over Dwight Morrow), the senior WR/DB scored 7 points, rushing for a 9-yard TD and catching a 1-point conversion pass. Paulino also tied for the team lead with five flag pulls.
The senior QB/DB accounted for all 14 Panther points in a shutout win over Garifeld. Poweska completed 9-of-13 passes for 58 yards and a touchdown, rushed six times for 32 yards and a TD and threw a pair of conversion passes.
