Nominations for Athlete of the Week and Team of the Week can be sent to high school sports reporter Brandon Holveck at bholveck@delawareonline.com. The nomination period closes Sunday. Please send the name of the team or athlete you would like to nominate and a brief summary of their accomplishments in the past week.
Polls are open to the public with unlimited voting from Monday through Thursday. Winners are announced Friday. Here are this week's nominees:
Caesar Rodney boys track and field: The Riders won the Delaware Invitational with 99 points. Second-place Lake Braddock (Va.) scored 85 points.
Conrad softball: Conrad had a 10-0 win over Delaware Military Academy and a 4-1 win over Sussex Academy.
Sussex Tech baseball: The Ravens went 3-0 with wins over North Caroline (Md.), Cape Henlopen and Easton (Md.).
Tatnall girls lacrosse: The Hornets went 3-0 with wins over St. Andrew's, Sanford and Caesar Rodney.
Wilmington Friends boys lacrosse: The Quakers had a 10-1 win over Sanford and a 7-1 win over Tower Hill.
