Last week saw plenty of standout performances in baseball, softball, boys and girls outdoor track and field, and boys golf across Eastern Connecticut. While there's no shortage of talent, we went and found the best of the best.

The Wildcats junior pitcher tossed a five-inning no-hitter in NFA’s 12-0 softball victory over Stonington. Bourdon finished with 11 strikeouts and also had an RBI at the plate.
Bourdon was also the winning pitcher in NFA’s 14-2 mercy-rule win over Griswold. She allowed just one hit, struck out 13, and allowed no earned runs. Bourdon also added two hits at the plate.
The Panthers junior won both the shot put (36-0) and discus (120-5) events during the first Girls Outdoor Track and Field meet of the season between Killingly, Tourtellotte, and Plainfield.

The Wildcats senior hurler earned the pitching win in NFA’s 8-5 baseball victory against East Lyme. Doyle gave up one hit and zero runs over three and two-thirds innings while striking out none and walking none. He also had a key three-run double.
The Trailblazers senior became the fourth softball player in school history to reach the 100 career hit milestone during the Trailblazers victory against Lyman Memorial. Durand finished with a double, a single, and an RBI.
Durand also had three hits while throwing out two runners from behind the plate in Killingly’s win over St. Bernard.
The Warriors junior went 3-for-4 with three runs scored and two RBIs in a 20-3 mercy-rule softball win over Grasso Tech. Garcia also had two hits, including a double, and two RBIs in Norwich Tech’s 20-2 mercy-rule win against Cheney Tech.
The Golden Eagles junior had a home run and two RBIs in a 13-4 softball loss against Putnam. Haggett also , and Lily Mae Brisson added a double but Ellis Tech fell to Putnam, 13-4. Haggett also had three hits, including two doubles, and four RBIs in the Golden Eagles’ 17-16 loss against Prince Tech.

The Wildcats junior carded a 36 to earn medalist honors in a season-opening 7-0 boys golf win over Waterford at Norwich Golf Course.
The Panthers junior swept all three throwing events, winning the shot put (44-5), discus (141-9), and javelin (127-0) during the first Boys Outdoor Track and Field meet of the season between Killingly, Tourtellotte, and Plainfield.
The Wolverines senior shot a 40 to earn medalist honors and lead Griswold to a 5-2 season-opening victory over Montville at the Norwich Golf Course.
The Trailblazers senior captured first place in the 110 hurdles (15.3), high jump (6-4), and long jump (20-4) during the first Boys Outdoor Track and Field meet of the season between Killingly, Tourtellotte, and Plainfield.
