Voting is now open for the Chillicothe Gazette High School Athlete of the Week, allowing fans to choose the athlete with the best performance. The poll runs from 6 a.m. Monday to 5 p.m. Friday, with the winner announced shortly after.
CHILLICOTHE — The high school spring sports season is well underway. It’s your chance to vote for the Chillicothe Gazette High School Athlete of the Week.
Fans are encouraged to vote in the Gazette Fan Poll to determine who they think had the most outstanding performance. Fans can vote as often as allowed.
The poll will run from 6 a.m. Monday to 5 p.m. Friday. The winner will be revealed soon after the survey concludes.

Here is the list of athletes:
Jayse Rinehart, Paint Valley: He went 5-for-5, had five RBIs and scored three runs in a win over North Adams.
Cason Smith, Huntington: He went 4-for-5, including a double, four RBIs and scored four runs in a win over Ripley.
Reese Shanks, Piketon: She went 4-for-4, had a double, two RBIs, scored three runs and had two stolen bases in a win over Westfall.
Jo Jett, Adena: She went 5-for-5, including two home runs, seven RBIs and scored five runs in a win over Paint Valley.
Carson McWhorter, Southeastern: He gave up two hits, one run and struck out 11 in a 3-1 win over Unioto.
Joey Francis, Adena: He won the 100, 200, 400 and long jump, earning 40 points at the RL Davison Invitational.
Gunnar McCullough, Zane Trace: He pitched five innings, gave up one run and had a triple and two RBIs in a win.
