The spring sports season is nearing its midway point, and athletes throughout the Eugene-Springfield area have continued to deliver outstanding performances.
Every week, you get to vote for The Register-Guard's Athlete of the Week, sponsored by Active Chiropractic.
Here are the nominees for this week's girls Athlete of the Week:

Athlete of the Week
North Eugene sophomore Anabel Acosta went 3 for 4 with two doubles and four RBIs April 17 to help the Highlanders to an 18-6 win over Thurston.
North Eugene sophomore Ella Anderson went 4 for 5 with a home run, two doubles and six RBIs April 17 to help the Highlanders to a 14-4 win over Thurston.
Cottage Grove senior Ella Cardwell ran a 1,500-meter time of 4 minutes, 45.08 seconds April 11 at the Aaron and Marie Jones Invitational.
Cardwell's time is the sixth-fastest in the state this season among Class 4A girls.
Elmira junior Jezianne Carroll went 2 for 4 with two doubles and five RBIs April 14 to help the Falcons to a 16-13 win over Pleasant Hill.
Elmira senior Ava Greene ran a personal-best 100 time of 12.68 April 11 at the Aaron and Marie Jones Invitational.
The nominees include Anabel Acosta, Ella Anderson, Ella Cardwell, Jezianne Carroll, Ava Greene, Cheryl Kfoevsinyuy, Lyda Morgan, Cricket Phipps, and Tori Sherman.

The nominees represent softball and track and field from various schools in the Eugene-Springfield area.

Greene's time is the sixth-best in the state this season among Class 3A athletes.
Marist Catholic junior Cheryl Kfoevsinyuy ran a personal-best 12.91 in the 100 April 11 at the T Smith Need For Speed Invitational.
Kfoevsinyuy's time is the third-fastest in the state this season among Class 4A girls. She also clocked a personal-best 200 time of 27.09, which ranks eighth among 4A sprinters.
North Eugene sophomore Lyda Morgan ran a personal-best 300 hurdles time of 49.55 April 11 at the T Smith Need For Speed Invitational.
Morgan's time is the 10th-fastest in the state this season among Class 5A girls.
North Eugene senior Cricket Phipps ran a season-best 800 time of 2:17.10 April 11 at the T Smith Need For Speed Invitational.
Phipps' time is the fourth-fastest in the state this season among Class 5A girls.
Marist Catholic junior Tori Sherman ran a personal-best 800 time 2:14.11 April 11 at the T Smith NeedFor Speed Invitational.
Sherman's time is the fastest in the state this season among Class 4A girls and sixth-fastest in Oregon, regardless of classification.
