The Golden State Warriors are considering a trade for All-Star Giannis Antetokounmpo, which could please Stephen Curry. The Bucks may finally be open to trading Antetokounmpo after a challenging season.

Last summer was the summer of Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo. The expectation was that Antetokounmpo would land with a new team after rumors swirled that he would demand a trade.
However, none of that took place as he entered his 13th season in Milwaukee this past season, but it was not a pretty one. Antetokounmpo's season was marred by injuries and a lack of team chemistry, and it turned out to be a disaster for all parties involved.
That now begs the question of whether the Bucks would finally pull the trigger to trade the Greek Freak. If so, the Golden State Warriors are a team to look out for.
Bleacher Report's Eric Pincus proposed this massive trade idea that details what a deal for Antetokounmpo would look like to Golden State.
"The Golden State Warriors receive:Â Giannis Antetokounmpo
"The Milwaukee Bucks receive:Â Jimmy Butler, Brandin Podziemski, 2026 1st-rounder, 2027 first-rounder, 2030 protected first-rounder, 2032 protected first-rounder."
Pincus went on to elaborate on when this hypothetical trade could take place.
"The trade would be agreed to by the Warriors and Bucks before the first night of the NBA draft on June 23, assuming Golden State doesn't win a top-4 selection on the May 10 draft lottery. The Bucks inform the Warriors who to take at No. 11; a top-4 selection for Golden State changes the calculus entirely."
A proposed trade idea suggests the Golden State Warriors could acquire Giannis Antetokounmpo from the Milwaukee Bucks.
Trading for Giannis Antetokounmpo is expected to make Stephen Curry happy, as it could enhance the Warriors' championship prospects.
The Bucks may consider trading Giannis Antetokounmpo due to his injury-plagued season and the team's lack of chemistry.

This is all speculation, of course; however, the Warriors have expressed great interest in Antetokounmpo in the past.
The 31-year-old has dealt with injuries over the past handful of seasons, and so has Stephen Curry. If a trade involving this specific package were to materialize, the Warriors would clearly be operating in a win-now mode.
At age 38, Curry is set to enter his 18th season, and Antetokounmpo is not getting any younger either. On top of that, the Warriors franchise could undergo major changes with Steve Kerr mulling over his future and the uncertainty around Draymond Green as well.
However, things should be clearer as we get closer to the NBA Draft.
