The Washington Huskies have offered a scholarship to four-star defensive lineman Landen Wade from Arizona, ranked as the No. 32 overall prospect for the 2028 class. Wade, who has 16 offers, is noted for his impressive performance and athleticism.
As the Washington Huskies continue to scour the country for defensive line reinforcements, Jedd Fisch's coaching staff extended an early offer to one of the nation's top prospects in the 2028 class.
On Thursday night, four-star defensive lineman Landen Wade, a product of Basha High School in Chandler, Arizona, added a scholarship offer from the Huskies to a rapidly growing list. The 6-foot-4, 250-pound prospect, who is ranked as the nation's No. 32 overall prospect and No. 3 defensive lineman in the nation by Rivals, now holds 16 offers, with some of the nation's top programs in pursuit.
Arizona, California, Miami, Notre Dame, and Ole Miss are all among the programs he's received offers from in recent months, while Wade also recently took an unofficial visit to check out coach Dan Lanning and Washington's arch-rivals, the Oregon Ducks.
With defensive coordinator Ryan Walters and defensive line coach Jason Kaufusi looking to continue upgrading the size and talent on the front line, Wade is a perfect fit for what they're looking for. During a breakout sophomore season, he tallied 24 tackles, 12 for loss, with 4 sacks and 11 quarterback hurries while playing in just eight games, displaying all the desired traits of a next-level pass rusher on tape.
Wade plays with superior athleticism and a tenacious motor, never giving up on plays going away from him. His natural strength allows him to be a high-level run defender, while his physicality has made him a disruptive force both on the interior, where his future at the college level appears to lie, and on the edge.
The Huskies have made a significant push to develop a pipeline to the state of Arizona, with three blue-chip commits in the 2027 class from the Grand Canyon State, and are hoping to continue that payoff along the defensive line in 2028 between Wade and five-star edge rusher Jalanie George, who took an unofficial visit to Seattle in early March.
