As a sophomore, Koo hauled in 53 catches for 832 yards and 7 touchdowns, while showing off all the traits Cummings is looking for on the outside. He displays good speed on film, running by defenders, whether they're lined up in press coverage or giving him a cushion, and he finds a second gear with the ball in his hands.
Koo is already a precise route runner who can stop on a dime and change directions to create separation. At the same time, he also demonstrates a high-level ability to track the ball, even through traffic and physicality, to make plays downfield for his quarterback.
While the Huskies don't have any pledges yet in the 2028 class, if Koo emerges as a priority target for Cummings and the rest of Jedd Fisch's coaching staff, Washington already has a significant in with the program. Four-star defensive tackle and Tustin standout Jon Ioane is one of the headliners in UW's 2027 class, and could be an impactful peer recruiter.
