The Washington Huskies are looking to add some vital depth to the interior of their offensive line and recently set up an official visit with a high-priority target, three-star offensive lineman Tristan Dare.
Dare, a 6-foot-3, 290-pound product of Southlake Carroll High School in Texas, initially announced a commitment to the Michigan Wolverines in August 2025, but backed off of that pledge in late March following coach Sherrone Moore's firing and his subsequent replacement by Kyle Whittingham.
Now, the No. 55 interior offensive lineman and No. 821 overall player in the 2027 class, according to the 247Sports Composite, and is set to take an official visit to Washington on June 19. However, it's not going to be easy for offensive line coach Michael Switzer to earn his commitment, even though the pair have quickly built up a strong relationship.
"I'm excited," Dare told Dawgman.com's Scott Eklund. "I really like Coach Switz a lot and really like the energy and atmosphere there (at Washington)."
Dare, who is expected to play center at the college level, holds 34 offers, with Florida, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio State, Penn State, Texas Tech, and Wisconsin all among the programs that have shown interest in his services. After taking an unofficial visit to Seattle in April to take in a spring practice, Dare, who plays with good strength and leverage, wasted little time in setting up a return trip.
Jedd Fisch's coaching staff currently holds one commit on the offensive line in 2027 in three-star center Reis Russell. But, it appears very interested in building up the depth at the position, with both Landen and Geirean Hatchett expected to graduate at the end of the year, which would leave a big hole in the middle of the front.
