The Washington Huskies are hosting San Francisco All-West Coast Conference Second-Team guard Ryan Beasley for an official visit beginning Thursday night.
Beasley, a 5-foot-11 junior, led the Dons in scoring and assists, averaging 13.6 points and 4 assists per game over 31 starts in 2025-26. The All-WCC Freshman Team selection in 2023-24 stepped up this past season after coming off the bench as a sophomore in 25 of 29 games.
Late Thursday night, Beasley posted on Instagram he had arrived in Seattle for a visit after a report earlier this week indicated he would make the trip at some point.
The Huskies have competition for the San Ramon, California native, who is fresh off an official visit to Stanford this past weekend, and trips to Notre Dame and UW are expected to take place in the next week or two. Since the portal opened on April 7, two player have formally announced their transfer to Montlake, ex-Davidson junior Parker Friedrichsen and Gonzaga senior Steele Venters, two versatile guards who are expected to be rotational pieces versus day-one starters.
Coach Danny Sprinkle has only one returning scholarship guard from last season, junior Wesley Yates III, who averaged 12.7 points and 1.3 assists as a sophomore in 25 starts after transferring back to Seattle after one season at Southern California in 2024-25 following a redshirt year with the Huskies under former coach Mike Hopkins.
Beasley, who finished No. 14 in the WCC in scoring and tied for No. 10 in assists this past season, projects as a starting point guard that possesses the ability to be a strong ball-dominant shot maker and creator, having shot 40.7 percent (129-of-317) from the field and 32.7 percent from 3-point range (49-of-150).
Both Beasley and another potential UW transfer target, ex-Gonzaga guard Braeden Smith, finished back-to-back in assists in 2025-26 in the WCC with 127 and 124 assists, respectively. With Beasley reportedly set to make an official visit to Seattle to meet with Sprinkle and the rest of the coaching staff, if the Huskies can keep the talented Golden State native on the West Coast, the program may very well have its next starting point guard for next season if they can fend off the Cardinal and Fighting Irish.
