TL;DR
Washington and Oregon are competing for four-star offensive lineman Gecova Doyal from Puyallup High School. Doyal, ranked as the No. 351 overall prospect in the 2027 class, has set up official visits to UCLA, Oregon, and Washington.
The Washington Huskies and Oregon Ducks are locked in a tense battle for one of the best offensive line prospects on the West Coast in the 2027 class, four-star Gecova Doyal.
According to a report from Andrew Nemec of the West Coast Biased Recruiting Substack, the two programs are neck and neck in the hunt for the 6-foot-3, 270-pound product of Puyallup High School, who is ranked as the No. 351 overall prospect and No. 16 interior offensive lineman in the 2027 class.
Doyal, who holds 19 offers, has been a constant presence at Washington's spring and fall practices, taking several unofficial visits to visit his in-state program over the last few years. He has set up three official visits, with a trip to UCLA kicking things off on May 15, before he visits Oregon on June 5, and Montlake in an official capacity on June 19.
Doyal was most recently on campus to take in Washington's Dawgs After Dark spring game, which came not too long after several members of Dan Lanning's coaching staff took an in-home visit with him, as the Ducks look to swoop in and steal the No. 5-ranked player from the state.
On film, Doyal looks like a promising prospect on the interior thanks to his ability to play with leverage and impressive foot speed. He plays with good strength, but has plenty of room to add weight to his frame once he arrives on a college campus.
The Huskies currently hold one pledge along the offensive line in the 2027 class in three-star center Reis Russell, and are looking to add three or four more high schoolers to the unit.
