The NFL designated all teams with returning head coaches to begin their offseason programs starting on Monday, two weeks after teams with new head coaches began their schedules. The Patriots, led by second-year head coach Mike Vrabel, got their slate going with Maye, the AP NFL MVP runner-up last season, and Campbell, their starting left tackle, present for the teamās voluntary activities.
Maye led the Patriots to the Super Bowl at the end of the 2025 season. He led the NFL in completion percentage last season at 72 percent. Maye suffered a shoulder injury in the AFC Championship game against the Denver Broncos, but did not require offseason surgery and is on board for Phase One of the program.
Campbell was vital toward the Patriotsā run to the Super Bowl last season. The 22-year-old played poorly against the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl, having allowed 14 total pressures in the game. Nevertheless, Campbell received a vote of confidence from coach Vrabel after the loss to Seattle and is still the Patriotsā starting left tackle for next season.
The Patriots enter Phase 1 of the offseason program, which involves strength and conditioning, meetings and rehab.
