There is a statue of Harbaugh outside the school's Yager Stadium as part of the football program's "Cradle of Coaches" hall of fame into which he was inducted in 2014.

“It’s a great honor to be Miami’s commencement speaker,” Harbaugh said. “I just have so much respect for Miami, for the administration, for the university, for everything it stands for, for everything it did for me.”
Harbaugh played defensive back at Miami, where he won the Football Scholar-Athlete Award and graduated with a degree in Political Science. He led the Baltimore Ravens to a Super Bowl XLVII victory in 2013 against his brother Jim's San Francisco 49ers and was inducted into the Cradle of Coaches Association in 2014.
John Harbaugh's commencement speech is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Harbaugh's first season with the Giants will begin at home on Sept. 13 in prime time against the Dallas Cowboys on "Sunday Night Football" at MetLife Stadium. The Giants begin OTAs (offseason team activities) on Tuesday.
