"We'll see what happens" – Tapsoba addresses speculation over his Leverkusen future
It has been suggested that a summer transfer could be on the cards for Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Edmond Tapsoba, with a number of clubs from England said to be keeping tabs on him.
At the moment, however, the Burkina Faso international insists he is not thinking about his future.
“At the end, we will see what happens. What matters is that I focus on the remaining matches of the season," Tapsoba said after Bayer Leverkusen’s 1-0 win over Borussia Dortmund on Saturday, according to Bild.
“We want to reach the Champions League again. That is the most important international competition. Giving back to the club that gives me everything is the most important thing for me,” he added.
Saturday’s win lifted Leverkusen to fifth place in the Bundesliga with five games left to play.
“We have to focus on ourselves and our own games. I think other teams will also drop points, then we have to be there. It is very important for confidence to win such games against top teams,” Tapsoba said.
Edmond Tapsoba stated he is not currently thinking about his future and is focused on the remaining matches of the season.
