The Cityzens travel to Broadfield Stadium to take on The Seagulls in their latest Barclays Womenâs Super League match.
While Manchester City are flying high at the top of the table, Brighton & Hove Albion have competed well against many of the top sides this season. When speaking in the pre-match press conference, Manchester City boss Jeglertz said that his side will have to be at their very best.
âThey showed before the international break what they can do in the game against Arsenal,â Jeglertz said. âOf course, itâs a very tricky team to play, they are a very difficult team to play; they have a lot of rotations and can change tactics during a game, change scenarios, itâs a tough game and we are fully-aware of that.
âWe need to be at our best level to win the game. Of course, we also know that we are a very good team, we have great quality. Confidence is the most important thing for a team, which we have and hopefully, we can use that on Saturday.â
Should Manchester City win and title rivals Arsenal drop points against Leicester City in midweek, The Cityzens will be crowned champions. Jeglertz says that the focus doesnât extend beyond Saturdayâs fixture.
He said âWe are definitely aware of the situation in the league. Everything is very much up to us and we cannot affect anything that happens in the other games.
âFor us, we need to win the game on Saturday and thatâs where we are. We can just see what happens in the other games. We havenât put any attention to the other teams, itâs just about how we beat Brighton on Saturday.â

Going on to comment on Manchester City closing in on the title, Jeglertz said that the preparation doesnât change and that confidence and energy levels are already high.
He said âWe do everything like we normally do, we are not changing anything, we are just talking about Brighton in the same way if it was the first game of the season or third from the end. Everybody is aware of the situation, we all want to win the game on Saturday and everyone is fully-focused on that.
âOf course, there is extra energy in the group when you know that youâve had a lot of great games in the season and the confidence is great. How the league can end is up to us and that gives a boost to the confidence, energy to the training sessions and confidence to the players. Also, the sun is shining in Manchester and that gives a lot of extra energy.â
