Cameron Young has recently emerged as arguably the third-best golfer in the world behind Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy.

He won the Wyndham Championship last August and then performed better than any of his American teammates at the Ryder Cup.

The 29-year-old has since won two more tournaments in 2026, the Players Championship and the Cadillac Championship.

Only Matt Fitzpatrick, who has won three events this year, can claim to have had a better season than Young.

However, the American has turned a corner in the last 12 months, reaching the number three position in the Official World Golf Ranking.
