What is left to play for on the final day of the WSL?

We're close to the end of the 2025/26 Women's Super League which has at least seen a new champion crowned but what is left to play for on the final day of the season?

There's still one game remaining before the final day with Arsenal hosting Everton later this evening in a game that could see the Gunners move ahead of the Blues.

But for the most part we know the big ramifications of the league: Manchester City are champions, Chelsea and Arsenal took the other European places, and Leicester City will face Charlton Athletic in the promotion/relegation play-off.

There are still a few things to look at on the final day of the season though...

The importance of second place

Currently it's Chelsea who sit in second although that could change that evening should Arsenal get at least a draw at home to Everton.

However, both teams face difficult final match of the season in games that initially looked like they may have been more decisive when the fixture list was first announced.

Chelsea will host a Manchester United side eager to prove themselves after missing out on European football. Meanwhile, Arsenal host a Liverpool side looking to bounce back from their dramatic FA Cup semi-final defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion at the weekend.
