HOUSTON – Nelly Korda had just made the turn on the back side Saturday when Charley Hull declared that she'd "Pretty much won this week already. You know what I mean?"

For a time, Korda led by eight and it looked like a coronation at the Chevron Championship. There were a few wobbles on the back nine, however, but Korda still ended the day with a 5-shot advantage, the largest 54-hole lead of her LPGA career.

"I think Nelly's great for the game," continued Hull. "I think if we didn't have Nelly on tour, the tour wouldn't be in such a good position. ... She's got such a good game, she's like the all-American, tall, blonde hair."

Korda has played in the final group of every event she's played this season, finishing no worse than runner-up in her first four starts with a win at the LPGA Tournament of Champions. She has lost to only two players all season — Lauren Coughlin and Hyo Joo Kim (twice).

Hannah Green won four of her last five starts and admitted to being completely exhausted.

"The year that [Korda] won so many row, I don't know how she continued to do that throughout the rest of the season, just because I felt so tired that I've had to take time off," Green said. "She's obviously had multiple runner-ups, obviously a win. I can see why she plays so well. Her driving is definitely the thing that I think keeps her on the top. Putting, when she actually has it on, that's why she has the trophy in her hand. She just gives herself so many opportunities to make birdies, and she's very good at making little errors. So that's always gonna be hard to beat."
