Inter now have a 12-point lead at the top of the Serie A table heading into the final five rounds of 2025-26 Serie A fixtures, which means that Cristian Chivu’s side could mathematically confirm the league title next weekend.
Cristian Chivu is on course to win the Scudetto in his first full season as a head coach. The Nerazzurri have amassed 78 points after 33 rounds of Serie A fixtures, 12 more than Napoli and 15 more than Milan, who have played one game fewer.
Inter’s chances of claiming the Serie A table were boosted even further after their 3-0 win over Cagliari on Friday night, while second-placed Napoli fell to a 2-0 home defeat against Lazio on Saturday.

Inter have a chance of claiming the Serie A title in their next league fixture, away against Torino on Sunday evening, however, this scenario depends on results elsewhere going their way.
In order for Inter to win the Serie A title next week, they will need to beat Torino, which they are widely expected to do, but will also require Napoli dropping points at home against Cremonese on Friday night and for third-placed Milan to drop points against either Verona or Juventus in their next two matches.
Inter could also draw against Torino and still win the Serie A title next weekend, but that requires Napoli to lose at home against Cremonese and for Milan to not pick up any more than three points in their next two matches against Verona and Juventus.
