Korda’s putting has been red-hot at The Chevron, and she leads the field on the greens this week, having taken just 51 putts through her first 36 holes.
If she continues to putt like she has been, there will be no stopping her in Texas this week.

To which the American replied: *“*This thing is a ball-strikers’ paradise, and she can just control her golf ball so well directionally. I feel like that that’s the most important thing, is if you can miss it on the right side of the holes it’s relatively easy up and downs.
*“*So I think she has so much control of her golf ball, more so than anybody else. She obviously loves the setup because it’s long. She’s able to hit 7-irons and 8-irons that she’s normally not, she’s normally hitting wedges a lot. So she enjoys the setup.
“I would look for more of the same this weekend.“
The pressure is on Korda to perform over the weekend.
She hasn’t won a major championship since 2024 when she triumphed at the Chevron Championship.
And with Patty Tavatanakit chasing her down this weekend, winning her third major will be far from easy.
That said, if Korda continues to perform to the level she has showcased during the first 36 holes at The Chevron Championship, there will only be one outcome.
As Lewis said, the golf course at Memorial Park is perfectly suited to Korda’s game.
And there is every chance that she will be able to call herself a three-time major champion come Sunday evening.
