The Tennessee Titans wanted a running back in this draft.
They got one with the 165th overall pick during the fifth round: Nicholas Singleton out of Penn State.
This could just be a steal.
Singleton had two separate 1,000-yard seasons with the Nittany Lions as part of a two-headed backfield with Kaytron Allen.
Now, he joins a Titans' depth chart that could use him in the long run.

What Nicholas Singleton means for Tony Pollard, Tyjae Spears
This might not be an immediate breakthrough in 2026.
Eventually, though, Singleton could push these other backs out of the way.
He's good enough to become an early-down rusher for the Titans in the future alongside QB Cam Ward.
Pollard is aging out of his career soon enough.

Spears probably isn't a full-load running back even if he sticks around.
So keep an eye on Singleton. When he's ready, he'll be given chances by offensive coordinator Brian Daboll, and he might deliver.
