What TV channel is Barcelona vs Atletico Madrid on? How to watch Champions League quarter-final tie
Barcelona face Atletico Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final clash tonight.
The Spanish sides go head-to-head in Europe this evening, just days after a La Liga meeting between the clubs.
Barcelona won 2-1 in Madrid at the weekend to extend their lead in the La Liga title race. However, Atletico boss Diego Simeone rested several stars as he chose to prioritise the European encounter between the teams.
Though Atletico are a distant fourth in La Liga, 19 points behind Barcelona, Simeone is confident his team can ‘hurt’ the Catalans. Atletico overcame Barcelona over two legs in the Copa del Rey semi-finals earlier this season.
“They’re a major opponent at a crucial stage of the competition. There are no minor opponents, especially in the quarterfinals and semifinals,” Simeone said.
“You know what Barcelona is capable of, how strong they are at home. We’re here to compete and take the game where we think we can hurt them.”
