Let’s take a look at some of the key points to keep an eye on on the offensive side of the football. **#1 Somebody’s got to play wide receiver.** The Bulldogs are losing six out of their top seven pass catchers from 2025. London Humphreys is the only returning wideout with more than 10 receptions. And while the ‘Dawgs are loaded at tight end (more on that in a moment) Mike Bobo’s offense only really works if there’s someone to stretch the field vertically and horizontally. Today will be our chance to see young receivers like CJ Wiley, Craig Dandridge, and in their most extensive action. Sophomore Talyn Taylor showed some flashes last year. Could today be a bit of a coming out party for him? **#2 Why couldn’t you play five tight ends at once?** If there’s a way to build the whole offense out of tight ends I hope Todd Hartley figures it out. Lawson Luckie returns as an All-SEC candidate, and should be even more of a matchup nightmare than he was as a freshman. Jaden Reddell has drawn praise from the coaching staff, and freshman Kaiden Prothro has drawn favorable comparisons to none other than . I expect we’ll see at least a handful of multiple tight end sets and some downfield passing to the big guys that make Bulldog fans salivate about this unit’s potential. **#3 The quarterback. No, the other one. No, the other, other one.** It’s nice to go into spring with the clear starter. And if we’re honest, we’ve also got a pretty good bead on what brings to the table as his backup. But I’m curious to see redshirt freshman . Montgomery suffered a serious knee injury as a high school senior in 2024 and sat out G Day last year. But he’s impressed so far this spring with his live arm and maturity in the pocket. Could he show enough to create a real battle with Puglisi for the backup role? **#4 Playing for Peanuts.** and Chauncey Bowen’s return as arguably the top Thunder & lightning running back tandem in the SEC. But Dwight “Peanut” Phillips has been an underrated contributor to the offense for each of the last two seasons. I’m curious to see his physical development entering year three, as well as how he might figure in the passing game. **#5 Let’s be upfront about what’s happening up fron**t. Georgia has a new offensive line coach in Phil Rauscher, fortunately Rauscher has a lot of returning material to work with. While the left side of the line loses starters and , returns at center, and a whole boatload of players with experience on the right side are back. This will be our first chance to see how Rauscher redistributes all that bulk. Dontrell Glover has practiced through injuries this spring and may get a break.
