MLS Power Rankings: Nashville SC continues to rise after a strong week!
The 2026 NFL Draft is set for April 23-25, with Oklahoma Sooners potentially having their largest draft class under Brent Venables. ESPN's mock draft predicts six Sooners will be selected, including R Mason Thomas to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The 2026 NFL draft takes place this weekend, from Thursday, April 23, to Saturday, April 25. This could be Oklahoma's biggest draft class under Brent Venables, with as many as 10 players with the potential to be drafted. The Sooners had a great pre-draft process during the Senior Bowl, NFL scouting combine, and at Oklahoma's pro day to solidify several Sooners among those who will hear their name called this weekend.
ESPN's Jordan Reid released a seven-round mock draft ahead of the 2026 NFL draft, and six players were selected in his projection.

R Mason Thomas is one of the best pass rushers in the 2026 NFL draft. After a slow start to his Oklahoma career, Thomas put together a pair of incredible seasons over the last two years with 49 total tackles, 15.5 sacks and 22 tackles for loss. Thomas has the quickness off of the line of scrimmage and the power to be an impactful player in all situations for whichever NFL team selects him.
Up to 10 players from the Oklahoma Sooners are projected to be drafted in the 2026 NFL Draft.
R Mason Thomas is an EDGE player from Oklahoma, projected to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The 2026 NFL Draft will take place from April 23 to April 25.

Gracen Halton was a big-time playmaker the last two seasons for the Oklahoma Sooners, recording 66 total tackles, 8.5 sacks, and 13 tackles for loss. His quickness off the snap and ability to penetrate provide Halton a chance to be a big-time difference maker at the NFL level. He'll be a monster on the Midway for the Chicago Bears if that's his landing spot.

Deion Burks had an incredible performance at the combine. His speed and athleticism will give him a shot to be a dynamic player at the NFL level. In 2025, Burks recorded 57 receptions for 620 yards and four touchdowns. He had big-time performances against Michigan (7 rec., 101 yards, 1 TD), Texas (5 rec., 64 yards), LSU (4 rec., 61 yards, 1 TD), and Alabama in the College Football Playoff (7 rec., 107 yards, 1 TD).

Febechi Nwaiwu proved to be a durable guard for the Oklahoma Sooners and proved to have position flexibility by starting at center in his final two games as a Sooner.

Robert Spears-Jennings had a great performance at the NFL scouting combine, building on a strong collegiate career with the Oklahoma Sooners. Spears-Jennings' speed, athleticism, playmaking ability, and special teams prowess put him in a position to have a long career in the NFL.

Kendal Daniels size and ability to diagnose what's happening in front of him will make him a favorite of defensive coordinators. His lenght and athleticism will prove to be a factor in the run game and he has position versatility.

Jaren Kanak, Damonic Williams, Marvin Jones, Jr., and Jaydn Ott went undrafted in Reid's mock draft, but certainly have traits that could make them draftable. Kanak is an elite athlete who just needs the right opportunity with a coach that is open-minded enough to use his athleticism in a role that suits Kanak.
Damonic Williams has the size and experience to be a force in the middle of a defense. Teams looking to stop the run will find Williams a valuable asset. Same with Marvin Jones Jr. He's got the length that NFL defenses are looking for and solid production to his resume. A good run defender with pass rush potential, Jones will be a value late in the draft.
Ott's Oklahoma career never really materialized, but he's a player with potential and big-time production that could get his name called this weekend.
