IPL 2026: Harbhajan Singh shocked by Mumbai Indians' decline

Texas A&M went 2-2 for the second consecutive week, impacting their national hosting outlook. Despite remaining a top-10 team in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll, their margin for error is decreasing as the postseason nears.
Texas A&M’s injury problems continue to mount at the worst possible time, and it showed again this week. The Aggies went 2–2 for the second straight week and dropped another SEC series, putting a noticeable dent in their national hosting outlook.
A&M opened the week with a midweek win over Prairie View A&M, but the game was far closer than expected. Still, the matchup provided valuable innings for several arms and gave the reshuffled lineup a chance to settle in with so many new faces forced into action. It also required some adjustments at the bottom of the order as the staff worked to find the right mix.
The weekend wasn’t a disaster, and it again highlighted the overall depth of this roster. But pitching issues resurfaced. In both losses, the starting rotation put the Aggies in an early hole, a trend that has become increasingly costly. With the offense battling injuries and occasional cold stretches, this is the time when the pitching staff needs to help steal a game or two. Instead, inconsistency continues to define the group, making it difficult for A&M to fully capitalize on its offensive talent.
The Aggies remain a top‑10 team in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll, but the margin for error is shrinking as the postseason approaches.
