Duke basketball has lost two players in the first week of the NCAA transfer portal and is still looking for its first addition. The transfer portal will close on April 21, with players able to transfer after the window closes.
The NCAA transfer portal has officially been open for one week and moves are being made around Duke basketball.
One week after the portal opening, the Blue Devils and head coach Jon Scheyer have lost two players and are still searching for their first pickup of the cycle.
Duke finished the season 35-3 and 17-1 in league play, its second-straight 35 season, and captured back-to-back ACC regular season and tournament titles for the first time since 2010-11. It made it to the Elite 8 for the second-straight season before falling in the last seconds to UConn.
The transfer portal will close on April 21, though players in the portal will still be able to transfer elsewhere after the two-week window.

Sophomore Darren Harris became Duke's first portal entrant, and the first since the 2023-24 season, on April 7, having since committed to Indiana and head coach Darian DeVries on April 13. Freshman Nikolas Khamenia followed suit on April 8 but has yet to find a new home.
Harris averaged 9.7 per game during his sophomore season, averaging 3.3 points per game while shooting 36.3% from the field and 33.3% from 3. Khamenia averaged 20 minutes, 5.7 points and 3.3 rebounds with five starts across Duke's 38 games.
It was widely reported that Duke was in the race for Kansas transfer and Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year Flory Bidunga. Louisville and coach Pat Kelsey ultimately won that race, though, with Bidunga committing to the Cardinals over the weekend after taking an official visit on April 10.
Duke is one of six finalists for Wisconsin transfer guard John Blackwell. Amongst his other finalists are Alabama, Arizona, Illinois, Louisville and UCLA. Blackwell averaged 19.1 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game during his junior season with the Badgers while going 38.9% from deep.
Duke has been linked to Alabama transfer big man Aiden Sherrell per Field of 68's Jeff Goodman, but Indiana remains a frontrunner.
While no official NBA Draft announcements have been made, Cameron Boozer, a projected top-three pick, and Isaiah Evans are more than likely both off to the draft. It initially appeared that Patrick Ngongba II and Dame Sarr could test the draft waters, but the more time that passes, it seems both are increasingly trending toward a return to Durham.
On top of Ngongba and Sarr, Duke is also looking to retain guards Cayden Boozer and Caleb Foster. The Blue Devils will also be bringing in the top-rated 2026 class per 247Sports Composite, made up of Cameron Williams, Deron Rippey Jr., Bryson Howard and Maxime Meyer.
