ESPN's Jeremy Woo projects Labaron Philon to be drafted 13th overall by the Miami Heat and Amari Allen 27th overall by the Boston Celtics in the upcoming NBA draft lottery.
ESPN's Jeremy Woo has recently released an updated mock ahead of the upcoming NBA draft lottery, one that has a pair of Alabama basketball players both projected to go the first round.
The first of those two is guard Labaron Philon Jr., whom Woo currently projects to be a lottery pick. While the exact draft order is not finalized yet, and will not be until the lottery occurs May 10, Woo currently projects Philon to come off the board at pick No. 13 overall, drafted by the Miami Heat.
In addition to Philon, Woo also projects Alabama forward Amari Allen to be selected in his two-round mock draft at pick No. 27 overall by the Boston Celtics.
When looking at the two, Philon is essentially a lock to stay in the draft, while Allen is a name to watch leading up to the May 27 deadline to withdraw. Should he withdraw, similar to how Philon did a year ago, Allen would be a starter for the Crimson Tide in 2026-27, but if the forward were to stay in the draft, then it appears he could come off the board at some point in the late first round.
Both of Philon and Allen were the lone Alabama players projected by Woo in his latest 2026 NBA mock draft.
