The full order of the 2026 draft lottery was set May 10 when Washington won the first pick and the right to debate between AJ Dybantsa, Darryn Peterson and a host of other candidates for the top selection.
The order of the lottery does not look to have had much of an impact on where Thornton might be selected in the draft. Entering the combine, which runs May 10-17 in Chicago, the former Buckeye was projected as a late-second round pick by most mock drafts.
The Athletic's Sam Vecenie projects Thornton to be taken by the Toronto Raptors with the No. 49 pick. That would reunite Thornton with former Ohio State teammate Jamison Battle, who has spent the past two seasons with the Raptors.
Bruce Thornton scored 2,164 points, averaged 19.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 3.9 assists while shooting 40.0% from three-point range.
