Wisconsin football ranks No. 13 in winning percentage during the BCS/CFP era with a .682 record. Despite recent struggles, the Badgers maintain a strong overall record of 245-114 since 1998.
These past few seasons haven't gone according to plan, but the Wisconsin Badgers football program still has one of the nation's best records since 1998.
When focusing on teams' win percentage in the BCS/College Football Playoff era, Wisconsin ranks No. 13.
The Badgers have a .682 winning percentage in that span with an overall record of 245-114. Coming off back to back losing seasons, it's incredible to still see them ranked so high.
Sustained success is hard in any sport, but especially in college, where there is so much turnover year after year. The best of the best include Ohio State (.832), Boise State (.792), and Georgia (.776), with nine total teams having a winning percentage of .700 or higher in that span.
Wisconsin is just 23-27 in its last four seasons, which really puts things into perspective. This is a Badgers team that had a lengthy bowl streak, including a slew of notable Rose Bowl appearances. Sure, a National Championship has eluded them, but even in these down years, it's remarkable to think the Badgers are in the same conversation as teams like Alabama, Oklahoma, Oregon, LSU, Clemson, among others.
