Judge's big league-high 14th homer sparks Yankees over Orioles 12-1 for sweep, 14th win in 16 games
Aaron Judge's 14th home run sparks Yankees to a 12-1 win over Orioles, completing a four-game sweep.
The Arizona Cardinals are likely to trade either James Conner or Trey Benson after drafting running back Jeremiyah Love. With four starting-caliber backs on the roster, a trade is expected to optimize their depth chart.

GLENDALE â The selection of Norte Dame running Jeremiyah Love will sent a ripple effect down the Arizona Cardinals organization. Based on his success, coaches or front office execs could be fired. However, at the bare minimum, a prominent member of Arizonaâs roster will be traded. In free agency, general manager Monti Ossenfort signed running back Tyler Allgeier, making three halfbacks on the depth chart. Crowded but workable for head coach Mike LaFleur.
However, after the Cardinals drafted Love, four starting caliber running backs on the roster is too much value to not take advantage of, leading to the possibility of trading one of them. With Love and Allgeier just arriving in Arizona, they will not be traded. Thus leaving a decision on two names to trade: Trey Benson or James Conner.

The answer seems quite obvious, Conner is in his 30s and is coming off a horrific season-ending injury last year. Ossenfort could look to get his contract off the books and take back minimal value because of the injury history and age. Despite those facts, the front office reconstructing his deal earlier in the offseason shows that they still see value in Conner.
James Conner or Trey Benson are the two candidates for trade, with the decision hinging on the team's depth chart after drafting Jeremiyah Love.
The Cardinals drafted Jeremiyah Love to enhance their running back options, prompting a potential trade of an existing player due to a crowded roster.
Tyler Allgeier's signing adds to the crowded running back depth chart, making it likely that one of the existing players, either Conner or Benson, will be traded.
Trading a running back could optimize the team's roster and potentially lead to changes in the coaching staff or front office if the move does not yield positive results.

He recorded four straight years of seven-plus rushing touchdowns, including 15 in 2021. Connerâs 1000+ rushing season in 2023 and 2024 hints that the tank isnât completely empty. Last season was the outlier, and despite underperforming in the first two weeks before his injury, Conner provides plenty of value for the roster. He is a locker room guy and carries knowledge that could be bestowed onto the younger running backs, like Love, to help their development.

That sadly means that Benson is the most likely candidate. Despite being just 23 years old, the former third-round pick mightâve run out of time to prove himself. In his first two seasons, Benson ran for only 451 rushing yards on 92 carries. The 4.9 yards per attempt would place him near the top of league. Benson still has value, add in his age and two years left on his contract, and a team would be willingly to pay a much higher price than Conner.
The Cardinals likely donât get an equal return on their investment on the third-rounder, but a fourth or fifth-round pick wouldnât be out of the question for a player of Bensonâs caliber. The franchise will likely wait till June 1st to trade Benson to better absorb the dead money that will come in any potential trade.
