The news was confirmed by Whitefish Bay activities director Randee Drew, who said the head coaching job vacancy was posted Friday, May 1.

Schneider took over the program following the conclusion of the 2014-15 season from previous coach Rick DeKeyser and helped the Blue Dukes capture the program's first state title this past season in the ninth overall trip to the state tournament. Whitefish Bay defeated Beaver Dam in a 64-63 thriller, highlighted by a combined title-saving defensive stop from Carrington Balthasar and Rowan Counsell.
The Blue Dukes went 180-96 under Schneider during his tenure with two state tournament appearances and the program's first North Shore Conference title since the 2005-06 season this past year (in a title share with Hartford) and the program's gold ball.
