Wisconsin Badgers softball team is set to compete in the 2026 Women's College World Series after a successful season. They are likely to face Texas, the No. 1 seed in the Austin Regional.
For the first time since 2022, the Wisconsin Badgers softball team is going dancing.
Longtime head coach Yvette Healy is set to make her eighth appearance with the Badgers after the team notched a 30-win regular season.
Coming off their semi-final appearance in the Big Ten tournament, Wisconsin earned the No. 2 seed in the Austin Regional.
To no surprise, Texas is hosting that regional. The 2026 SEC Champions finished the year 42-10 and will likely be the team standing in Wisconsin's way should they take care of business on Friday, May 15.
For just the third time in program history, Wisconsin is set to do battle with Baylor. The Bears bring their 28-26 record to Austin as they take on Healy's 32-19 Badgers.
On the other side of the bracket, Texas is facing a hungry 22-26 Wagner squad.
Remember, the last time Wisconsin made the tournament, they advanced to the Gainesville Regional final before falling to Florida.
