Xabi Alonso faces a tough choice between Chelsea and his dream job at Liverpool.
Several players stood out at the New Orleans Saints rookie minicamp, including Jordyn Tyson, Bryce Lance, and Barion Brown. Brown, initially seen as a kick returner, showcased his skills as a wide receiver with impressive plays.

With the New Orleans Saints rookie minicamp now in the rearview mirror, several players were able to come in and have an impressive weekend.
The Saints went out this offseason and bolstered their wide receiver room, and that rookie talent was on display throughout camp. Players like Jordyn Tyson, Bryce Lance, and Barion Brown all had standout moments. Brown, a wide receiver from LSU, was widely viewed as primarily a kick returner. However, he used this weekend to showcase his natural ability at the wide receiver position.
There was a play highlighted by Ross Jackson where Brown laid out to make a catch and then got up to turn it into a big gain. There is fast, and then there is football fast and Brown showed that he is precisely that: football fast.
Oscar Delp, a tight end out of Georgia, was another name that came up several times throughout the weekend. Delp displayed his catching ability, but also his leadership, encouraging other rookie and tryout tight ends who were struggling with drops throughout camp. Those are the intangible traits that cannot be taught.
Some other names worth mentioning are Damien Alford and Jayden Price. These are two players that the Saints signed at the end of the 2025 season to reserve/futures contracts. Price has spent time on the practice squad for both the Saints and over the past few seasons, while Alford has experience playing in both the CFL and UFL.
Standout players included Jordyn Tyson, Bryce Lance, and Barion Brown.

But the biggest standout of the weekend was wide receiver Brock Rechsteiner. Rechsteiner is the son of WWE Hall of Fame wrestler Scott Steiner. He stole the show throughout the weekend and was truly eye-catching. Rechsteiner performance was rewarded with a contract offer and will remain with the team this offseason. Now, the real challenge begins for him, as the Saints have a loaded and youthful wide receiver room.
The Saints will return for OTAs beginning on May 27, as the 2026 season is quickly approaching.
