After a late pit Shane van Gisbergen chased down the field in the NASCAR Watkins Glen race and claimed his seventh Cup career victory on May 10 in the Go Bowling at the Glen road course.

After falling to the back of the field van Gisbergen made up 29 seconds on 17 laps to retake the lead from Ty Gibbs with six laps left.
