Gibbs, 23, is the grandson of Joe Gibbs, owner of Joe Gibbs Racing. It was Ty Gibbs' 131st career start.
Gibbs led for 25 laps.
Ryan Blaney, who led for 190 laps, was second, and Kyle Larson, who led the most laps at 284, was third in the Food City 500.
